HOLOCAUST MUSEUM HOUSTON
Website redesign for newly expanded museum, opened in June 2019.
In becoming one of the top Holocaust museums in the country, the HMH broadened its mission as a superregional hub for Holocaust education and a national voice for human rights and social justice. Houston's Holocaust Museum is also fully bilingual — the only Holocaust museum in the country that provides full experiences in English and Spanish.

RESEARCH
Given what already exists online in the way of Holocaust museums and education centers, this website needed consistency, top notch content, and a bold touch while avoiding a heavy or dark feeling. We wanted to bring the museum into the present and future with a fresh image, while retaining a reverent space for the remembrance and education on the history at hand.
PRELIMINARY SKETCHES+FINAL
Exploring various type pairings and layout options to accommodate the wide range of information that the museum delivers to the public.
Ultimately, a selection of a neo-grotesque paired with a warmer serif provided clarity and personality to written content.
This web refresh delivers an engaging space for events, teaching tools, programming, and giving.
Technical aspects of this project involved managing a large sitemap, wireframing, design, and constant coordination with development.
